Floating wetlands: a sustainable solution to nutrient pollution

This study combines field and mesocosm experiments with two native aquatic plant species in a constructed wetland in north-central Ohio to assess the nutrient sequestration performance of artificial floating islands (AFIs), a phytoremediation technology used to address nutrient pollution of aquatic systems in a cost effective and environmentally friendly way.
