Welcome to the Water@OhioState website, which serves as the hub for The Ohio State University’s ever-growing water program!
Ohio State has many water-related assets across the university that involve research, teaching, and outreach. This site seeks to bring together the university’s water assets (people, tools, and other organizational resources) in a single online location so that faculty, students, external partners, and other stakeholders can have better access, awareness, and alignment when it comes to water-related activities.
The primary goals of this website are to:
- Foster a greater sense of community among internal stakeholders working on water research, teaching, and outreach.
- Strengthen communications and awareness of water-related programs and initiatives within Ohio State.
- Identify opportunities to share equipment, lab space, tools, and data among water researchers inside and outside Ohio State.
- Facilitate the development of teams that can pursue new research ideas and interdisciplinary funding opportunities.
- Improve coordination within the university when responding to a water-related crisis or opportunity.
- Enhance Ohio State’s reputation with external audiences as a leader in water-related issues.
- Provide a means for non-university entities to find water-related expertise necessary to help solve problems or pursue water-related activities.
